JellyStone Photography was formed in 2006. Our goal is to provide the best quality stock photos at a resonable price.

We are James and Kelly Stone, happily married business owners. We combined our names and talents and founded “Jellystone Photography.” James has always had an interest in geology (with volcanism being on the top of his list) and has done a self study course on the subject for years. We both share an interest in photography and have done a lot of self-taught hands on experience and taken numerous college and online classes.

Our travels have thus far taken us to the western coast of the U.S. (“the ring of fire“), which include Mammoth Mountain, Long Valley, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Death Valley, Central Oregon, Utah, Arizona and Colorado.

Artist James and Kelly Stone Philosophy

Our goal is to selectively capture and share miraculous moments where nature leaves her tracks of change, moments that might never be repeated. We create images that evoke an emotional response from the viewer, and create a desire to see the world more deeply, no longer as a simple "passer-by".

Through our lens, we present our view of the endless variety of nature’s shades and formations. This is our mission, to offer these views as visual flavors for the eye to feast on.

Nature, landscapes, portraiture, events, workshops, etc.

Technique

All images are taken and produced using the latest equipment available. Printing is then completed on either an HP or Epson giclee printer. Photographs are presented on the highest quality photographic paper available today. The images are then dry-mounted on acid-free foamboard and matted with acid free ragmount.

Completion of photography classes, including, Nature Photography, Lighting and Composition, Marketing and a course of study at New York Institute of Photography.
